As the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) prepares for its first parliamentary elections on October 13, 2025, the Coalition for Social Accountability and Transparency (CSAT) is mobilizing its regional chapters to scale up monitoring, education, and advocacy initiatives.

The Independent Election Monitoring Center (IEMC) reconvened in Davao City to assess its operations during the May 2025 national and local elections and to lay the groundwork for the upcoming October parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The House Committee on Public Accounts has submitted a comprehensive report on June 10, 2025, detailing its findings and recommendations regarding the alleged misuse of the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). This report stems from a privilege speech delivered by Representative Ziaur Alonto Adiong on January 27, 2025, which called for an inquiry in aid of legislation. One of the key findings points to the withdrawal and disbursement of LGSF to local government units (LGUs) in the BARMM, in contravention of established protocols, and with apparent political selectivity favoring allies of the BARMM administration, constituting misuse of public funds.
